Voice Clinic
Voice Clinic facility is available at Karnataka ENT Hospital and Research Center(R). Voice related problems usually termed as Speech disorder. Speech disorders or speech impediments are a type of communication disorders where 'normal' speech is disrupted. This can mean stuttering, lisps etc. Someone who is unable to speak due to a speech disorder is considered mute.

Voice Problems - When to see a doctor?
You should see a doctor if you have any of the following symptoms
-> Change in voice noticed by you / family / friends
-> Hoarse voice not associated with cold / flu
-> Hoarse voice after a sore throat / cold / flu which stays ith you beyond 2 weeks
-> Voice cracks or tires after use
-> You tend to lose your voice
-> Difficulty in speaking loudly / softly
-> Pain / scratchy feeling in the throat while or after speaking
-> Repeated sore throats / chronic throat irritation.
-> Need to clear the throat frequently
-> Strained strangled quality to your voice
-> Voice drops to a whisper as you speak
-> Voice use is effortful
-> Feeling of lump in the throat
-> Persistent cough
-> Blood in cough / sputum
-> Lump in the neck
-> Change in pitch
-> Reduced pitch range
-> Breaks in the voice
