As far as my knowledge is concerned, the pioneers of Endoscopic sinus surgery in India are Dr. DS Sethi, Dr. P. Thulasi Das, Dr. Milind Kirtane, Dr. Prabodh Karnik, Dr. Meghanath K. R and Dr. V. Anand. Two surgeons who took it to the NEXT LEVEL are Dr. Narayanan Janakiram and Dr. Satish Jain. I fondly call them Jain-Janaki duo! The 2 Jays or the two rebels who demolished the convention!

Mockingjays are a rare species of hybrid birds, famous for their ability to mimic a wide range of sounds produced by humans. They are black birds with white patches on the undersides of their wings. They are a result of an accidental mating of Jabberjays and mockingbirds.

Mockingjay is also a popular movie in the Hunger Game series, based on the novel by Suzanne Collins. Mockingjay bird has a rebellious symbolism in the film. The protagonist Katniss Everdeen rebelling against the convention or the Capitol!

Powerful learning technique, the Neuro-linguistic programming proposes that “To be successful we just have to walk in the footsteps of successful people.” If you want to master Endoscopic sinus surgery, we have to mimic the 2-Jays like a Mockingjay. By simply copying them we can master Endoscopic sinus surgery in lesser time than they actually took. With this, we bring the revolutionary learning science which will help you master the endoscopic sinus surgery. Welcome to the Endoscopic Sinus Surgery course, “An Ode to Heinz,” organized in the memory of Prof. Heinz Stammberger on 26 & 27 Jan 2019, at Karnataka ENT Hospital & Research Center (R), Chitradurga, Karnataka.
