In his book Dream to Reality – In Five Steps, Deepak Bajaj introduces a powerful concept called the ‘Triangle of Faith’—a framework that unlocks the magic of manifestation by aligning self-belief, subconscious worthiness, and trust in the universe. Building on this transformative idea, let’s explore how faith can truly move mountains.
Faith is generally considered to be the invisible bridge between dreams and reality, converting the impossible to possibility and miracles to reality. Over time, people who have defied the odds and brought their dreams to life have employed a simple yet profound principle—believing in their potential, trusting their worthiness, and having the unshakable conviction that the universe is working in their favour. It is the synergy of these three elements of faith that gives rise to what is nothing short of the manifestation magic.
When all of these come together, you’re what some might call a ‘manifestation powerhouse,’ bringing visions into being. Let’s delve into the three pillars through stories, parables, and examples that illustrate just how effective they are.

1. I Can Do It: I Believe in My Capabilities
The first secret of manifestation is trusting your own abilities. This faith transforms obstacles into stepping stones and disappointments into lessons.
One of the strongest Indian examples is Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, India’s ‘Missile Man’ and ex-President. He was brought up in a poor family with meagre finances, yet he never doubted his ability to better his circumstances. With unwavering self-confidence and hard work, not just did he rise to be a famous scientist, but he also brought India’s space and missile missions to the globe. His unflinching faith in himself was the fuel behind his success.
Internationally, this principle is illustrated by Thomas Edison. He is well known to have said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” With numerous setbacks, his faith in his own ability to innovate led to the invention of the electric light bulb.
When we tell ourselves “I can do it,” we unleash our potential. Belief in ourselves compels us to act, and action leads to accomplishment.
2. I Deserve It: Believing in My Worth
Most of us battle with self-doubt, questioning whether we deserve to be successful, loved, or happy. But to get what you desire, you need to believe in your own worth.
A compelling anecdote in Indian mythology illustrates this point. Ekalavya, the self-made warrior in the Mahabharata, is a testament to the power of self-worth. Disappointed by Guru Dronacharya’s refusal to train him formally, he still believed he deserved to learn archery. With determination, he made himself a great archer, proving that his worth wasn’t defined by societal limitations, but by his own belief.
Similarly, the life of Oprah Winfrey illustrates this pillar of faith. Born poor and having suffered early traumas, she could have succumbed to feelings of unworthiness. Instead, she understood that her past did not dictate her future. Believing that she deserved success, she became one of the strongest media figures in the world. “You don’t become what you want, you become what you believe,” as she said.
Believing in your worth opens doors that might otherwise be out of your reach. Repeating, “I deserve happiness, abundance, and success,” you instruct your subconscious to bring those very things into your experience.
3. I Will Get It: Belief in the Universe’s Support
The final pillar of faith is faith in the universe’s support. It is the belief that the universe is on your side, even when all is not going well. This is a principle that is taught by the Bhagavad Gita in the dialogue between Lord Krishna and Arjuna. Krishna asks Arjuna to act in faith, and the world will look after those who act in belief. This is encapsulated in the sloka: “Karmanye vadhikaraste, ma phaleshu kadachana”—Focus on your actions, not the outcome, and the right consequences will follow.
A modern-day example of this belief is Hollywood actor Jim Carrey. When he was not yet famous, he wrote himself a check for $10 million for “acting services rendered,” postdating it for a future year. He kept the belief that someday he’d be in a position to cash it. Years later, he landed a role in the movie Dumb and Dumber and received exactly $10 million as payment.
One finds this principle in operation in the story of Indian entrepreneur Dhirubhai Ambani, who began Reliance with nothing but vision and faith. His mantra was, “Think big, think fast, think ahead. Ideas are no one’s monopoly.” His faith that the universe would grant his vision led to one of India’s largest business empires.
When you say “I will get it,” you shift your state of being from lack to one of abundance. The universe, in its own secret mechanisms, brings circumstances, individuals, and opportunities to bring your dreams into being.
Bringing It All Together: The Power of Faith
Faith is not wishful thinking; it is a dynamic energy. When you have faith “I can do it,” you do it. When you have faith “I deserve it,” you break through mental barriers that block success. When you have faith “I will get it,” you open yourself to opportunity you cannot yet see.
As rightly said by Swami Vivekananda:
“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life—think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.”
Faith, when embraced to the full, transforms common men into legends. It ignites revolutions, creates empires, and heals lives. The mountains you wish to move just await you to have faith in moving them. Dare to believe, and behold the universe stand up to join you.
